Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

Our client is a specialist in the construction sector who are now seeking an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Managing the costs from the early design plans, through to the practical completion & beyond, you will be responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations and managing variations and changes

This is an excellent opportunity for a solutions driven problem solver to join a highly experienced established team.

Responsibilities:

• Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers and site staff.
• Maintain financial control of projects including monthly valuations, job costing reviews and final accounts.
• Follow up monthly valuations to make sure that payments are received on time as per the agreed contract conditions.
• Drive in the commercial activities of the business and provide support/advice in this regard to the Projects Managers as required.
• Prepare on-time monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews.

Criteria:

• Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction or similar
• Min 1 - 2 years post qualification experience in a surveying role
• Strong IT literacy including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to deliver on-time quality work within budget and with minimal supervision.
• Commercially aware
• Flexible to travel as required

Salary is up to £60k (depending upon experience) + a flexible benefits package which can be discussed upon application.
