Job Description

Our client is a busy local engineering business with a strong client base across the UK and Ireland. They are now seeking an additional Quantity Surveyor with a background on the steel or construction sector to join their South Down based team.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will work on a range of projects including Multi-storey accommodation, Retail, Leisure, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, warehousing, industrial buildings and production facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of interim payment valuations and the submission of the same to the client.
• Agreement of subcontractor packages and subsequent valuation of work elements for payment.
• Valuation of Variations for plant, labour and materials. Preparation of quotations for variations and agreement of the same.
• Submission and agreement of final accounts.
• Management of Retentions.

Criteria:

• Previous relevant experience within the construction / steel sectors.
• Knowledge of Structural Steel, supply and erection is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Metal decking and precast concrete installations also desirable.

Salary is in the region of £46-52k depending on experience.
