Our client operates in the commercial M&E sector and is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to oversee a number of data centre projects in Germany. This role will operate on a rotational basis so flexibility to travel is essential.

Reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager, you will set the workload for upcoming projects and manage the closure of all snags on site. As the successful Quality Inspector you will be responsible for the verifying that all works are carried out to a high standard and in line with construction drawings, supervising installation on site and ensuring that it meets expectations. This role offers the opportunity to progress and build a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Production units match all approved drawings and specifications
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
  • Inspect, test, measure & report on materials & products being produced.
  • Ensure all quality checks are completed and recorded withing the quality management system.
  • Report inspection and test data.
  • Report and Record Non-Conformances.
  • Report and record Snags, assisting to arrange programme and time frame to complete.
  • Report areas of concern to site manager.
  • Participate in weekly site meetings and liaise with client quality representatives.
  • Weekly Inspections of plant hire equipment.

Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar quality role within the M&E or manufacturing industries.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to coordinate timely closure of works.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, specifically excel.
  • Good mathematical and technical skills.
  • A good understanding of Electrical or Mechanical Schematics.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Excellent awareness of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong eye for detail

Desirable Criteria:


  • Quality control certification
  • Experience of weld inspection.
  • Experience of inspecting mechanical and electrical installation.
  • Experience of working in a Data Centre environment.
  • First Aid

Salary is in the region of £50-65k dependant upon experience + expenses and comes with a range of benefits including pension and life assurance.
