Quality Engineer

Job Description

Energis is recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing business based near Belfast.

The successful Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing and reporting on the Quality Assurance of all production undertaken within the factory, and support the continuous improvement efforts of the Production and Quality management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day function of all Quality Control Inspection, based on 24/7 operations.
• Maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Implementing elements of Lean Manufacturing to ensure continuous improvement.
• Ensuring departmental KPI’s are met.
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with various individuals and departments within the company to ensure hands on problem solving on a continuous basis.
• Presenting weekly and monthly reports to the Management Team.

Criteria:

• 2-3 years’ minimum Quality experience withing manufacturing, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proven record of continuous improvement achievement.
• Experienced in the management of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMS) and audit schedule.
• Previous supervisory experience
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• A keen eye for detail to achieve the highest standards of Quality.
• Proficient in using MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• A qualification in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma is highly desirable

Salary is in the region of £28k. This is a Monday- Friday day shift position.
