Production Manager

Job Description

Due to internal promotion, our Co Antrim based client is currently in the market for an experienced Production Manager.

The successful Production Manager will manage the production facility ensuring the optimisation of throughput and efficiency, while minimising waste and ensuring customer expectations are met on time and in full.

Responsibilities:

• Management of production staff, instilling a proactive, team oriented culture
• Set clear objectives for the production team including supervisors with respect to volume, cost, quality and meeting schedules and delivery dates.
• Work efficiently alongside internal departments & service providers
• Monitor, analyse and improve labour and machine efficiency levels
• Improving and implementing current policies, processes & standard operating procedures to enhance overall operational performance
• Develop continuous improvement plans in line with organisational objectives

Criteria:

• Previous relevant experience as a Production Manager within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a pressurised environment
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques

Salary is in the region of £35-40k depending upon experience, package includes bonus and healthcare plan and an early Friday Finish!
