Production Assistant

Job Description

Based in Co Antrim, our client is a busy and growing engineering company who supply a range of innovative products to the construction sector. They are now seeking a Production Assistant to support the Production Manager, ensuring day to day production runs smoothly.

This role offers the opportunity to progress within the business, as such they are looking for an ambitious and committed individual. Applications are also welcome from graduates who are willing to learn and grow with the business.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the production management team with day-to-day processing
• Support customers directly, managing client queries and liaising regularly with the production team
• Ensure materials are ordered in line with the production plan
• Maintain in-house databases
• Monitor production stock levels
• Produce bill of materials
• Assist with administration for production
• Raise purchase orders
• General administration duties as and when required

Criteria:

• Previous relevant production experience within the construction / engineering / manufacturing sectors
• Proficient in Microsoft Packages
• Able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Able to manage time across multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Desire to develop existing skills as well as learning new ones.

This role offers a starting salary of £26 - 28k + bonus, depending upon experience and an early finish on a Friday!
