Operational Procurement Specialist

Our client is a well established manufacturing company based just north of Dublin who are currently on the market for an experienced Operational Procurement Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Foster strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and Suppliers.
• Advance the performance and optimize the operational supply base including the development of underperforming and risk suppliers.
• Support New Product Introduction project activities.
• Lead major cross functional projects representing Operational Procurement.
• Manage resourcing/dual source procurement programs in alignment with Strategic Procurement.
• Support the buying team with supplier escalations to resolution.
• Support the Operational Procurement Manager with attendance at various meetings and DOA.

Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (QQI level 8).
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a Planning, Logistics or Procurement function, preferably in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Direct buying experience an advantage.
• Proven experience working within a complex supply chain and leading supply issues to resolution.

Salary is in the region of €68 - 78k with a benefits package including bonus scheme, healthcare, pension.
