Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client has enjoyed a sustained period of growth in the engineering sector. As a result an opportunity has arisen for an additional Mechanical Design Engineer to join their design team.

Applicants must have previous mechanical design experience from within a manufacturing environment. After the initial training period the successful Design Engineer will have the option to work from Tyrone or Down offices.

Responsibilities:

You will manage multiple design projects, producing concept ideas and drawings, through full design approval and on to deliver full manufacture drawings and Bill of Materials for the company’s current product range.

Working closely with Production you shall support the product as it is manufactured and tested to ensure quality and delivery on a right-first-time basis.

Opportunities are also available in R&D.

Criteria:

• Min HND qualified in mechanical engineering
• Previous relevant experience in mechanical design
• Experience in the use of Solidworks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
• Good problem solving capabilities
