Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Energis is currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing client who are going through a significant period of growth. Based in Drogheda, the role will involve the maintenance of a range of automated equipment.

This is a shift role, applicants must be flexible to work days and nights. Applications are invited from candidates with both a mechanical and electrical background.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner
• Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM) and carry out work as required
• Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to management
• Make full use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Plan / prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time
• Respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault repair and return equipment to operational service
• Identify spares requirements and control / log usage
• Assist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment

Criteria:

• Time served maintenance technician with 2-3 + years previous similar experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to plan, control and prioritise workload
• Ability to maintain and improve effective work practices
• Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards work
• Ability to work alone and also be a fully integrated member of a team

Salary is in the region of €60k including shift allowance. There is also a bonus and pension scheme.
