Litigation Solicitor (Disease)

Job Description

Litigation Solicitor, Belfast.Top international law firm wishes to recruit an experienced Solicitor with ideally 2-3years + PQE within Disease.

Job Purpose
We are looking for ambitious, driven candidates who are looking to join a leading Northern Ireland defence firm. The successful candidate will benefit from working with an insurance industry leader representing most of the key Insurance clients in the UK.
Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain key and new client relationships, including attendance at appropriate client meetings
• Management of service delivery and quality to key disease clients
• Assist in increasing the profile of the firm in the Disease market (which may include the production of marketing information including articles/blogs, delivering training/seminars etc)
• Handling own caseload including high value/complex/nominated cases with appropriate assistance and agreed performance metrics (chargeable hours and billing)
• Contribution to relevant contract tender submissions
Contribute to the development of key strategies to combat opponent behaviours

Working Hours
35 Hours per week - Hybrid working
Primary location for this role is the Belfast office.

Essential
• Previous experience in litigated defendant insurance work up to £500k including Disease cases, particularly industrial disease claims including HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques and Asbestosis claims, Dermatitis and hearing loss claims.
• An ability to prioritise workload & strong attention to detail
• Ability to work with case management systems

Desirable
• Proven track record in working within a team within a legal environment
• Previous experience of contributing tenders and pricing
