Job Description
Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in County Antrim, currently undertaking a major digital transformation project. As part of this growth, they are seeking an IT Project Officer to support the rollout of a new system across the organisation.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and operations, helping to digitalise factory processes, improve data visibility, and enhance overall efficiency across shop floor, stores, and quality management functions.
Applications are invited from experienced IT Project Managers, and also IT professionals with experience in Helpdesk / Support functions looking for their next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of the ERP system across shop floor and operational areas.
- Identify, test, and establish the most efficient digital workflows using the new system.
- Scope, document, and support any required system modifications to optimise performance.
- Design and implement product tracking labels and related identification systems.
- Conduct system testing and pilot programmes with key users and stakeholders.
- Configure user accounts and terminals for shop floor access.
- Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing support for system users.
- Train managers to analyse operational data and extract insights for decision-making.
- Develop data views and dashboards to promote real-time transparency across departments.
- Plan and implement time-tracking functionality and supporting infrastructure.
- Oversee each “go-live” phase to ensure smooth system adoption.
- Configure factory displays and dashboards for live performance monitoring.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for digital systems and reporting processes.
Essential Criteria
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Logical understanding of databases and software table structures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Confident training and communication abilities across all staff levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Experience creating digital reports or dashboards from data sources.
- Familiarity with KPIs and performance-based data monitoring.
