On behalf of our client, an award winning engineering company, Energis is seeking applications for the post of HSEQ Officer.

The successful HSEQ Officer will provide assistance and support to the HSEQ Manager and department, ensuring safe practice, quality & environmental compliance on all sites in liaison with site teams and relevant staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to the HSEQ Manager.
  • Carry out HSEQ monitoring activities and site inspections at the company’s various locations.
  • Assist with ISO Management, Internal & external audits, produce audit reports and follow up any actions.
  • Liaise closely with the contracts / site teams on any HSEQ issue and manage accordingly.
  • Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health and follow up any actions.
  • Assist in the identification of need and preparation of method statements & risk assessments (RAMS) COSHH assessments and ensure effective communication.
  • Carry out HSEQ monitoring activities and site inspections and follow up any actions.
  • Keep up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
  • Assist in identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks.


  • NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years proven HSE experience within a construction setting
  • Accident and incident investigation experience.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with clients & internal staff.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure on own initiative to achieve self and team targets
  • Excellent IT Skills in particular Excel
  • Full driving licence
  • IOSH Membership and ISO Knowledge are highly desirable

Salary is in the region of £25 -30k depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package including pension, free parking and generous annual leave.
