Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Job Description

Our client is a well established manufacturing company based just north of Dublin who are currently on the market for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

This is a key role within the company and offers and excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing professional looking to develop their career.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of multidisciplined engineers
• Manage product and process change activities, technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply.
• Work cross functionally & cross site to deliver finished product to the end customer.
• Lead projects to drive continuous improvement in key metrics in alignment with Lean, 6 Sigma, Design Robustness and Problem-Solving Principles
• Problem solve with a structured approach, using the team, complete all associated planning and design validation activity required to achieve the desired outcome.
• Deliver solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
• Participate in the continuous development of the quality system, including standard operating procedures (SOP's), workflow development, product and process validations coupled with the ability to write concise technical reports.

Criteria:

• NFQ Level 8 ( Degree) or Higher in relevant technical discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Engineering, or alternative) with 10 years relevant engineering experience.
• 5 years +’ experience in a relevant leadership position.
• Strong technical background (Mechanical / Electromechanical / Manufacturing)
• Structured analysis skills with experience in complex technical troubleshooting
• Excellent collaboration & communications skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Practical experience of supplier & manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes.

Salary is in the region of €80-85k with a benefits package including bonus scheme, healthcare, pension.
