Electrical Design Engineer

Our client has enjoyed a sustained period of growth in the engineering sector. As a result an opportunity has arisen for an additional Electrical Design Engineer to join their design team.

Applicants must have previous electrical design experience from within a manufacturing environment. After the initial training period the successful Design Engineer will have the option to work from Tyrone or Down offices.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Confirms systems and components capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
• Develop electrical products according to customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
• Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components.
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.

Criteria:

• Min HND qualified in electrical engineering
• Previous relevant experience in electrical design
• Experience in the use of Solidworks or similar
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
• Good problem solving capabilities
