Electrical Assembly Operatives

Job Description

On behalf of our client, a global manufacturing enterprise with its headquarters in Co Armagh, Energis is seeking applications for the positions of Electrical Assembly Operative and Electrical Assembly Team Lead.

Working as part of the existing assembly team, the successful candidates will fit component assemblies on production lines to create complete machines.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an experienced team with a focus on continuous improvement. These roles are permanent full time opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Identify component parts and sub-assemblies
• Install and terminate electrical looms up to 480 volt AC
• Use hand tools and power tools as required
• Complete quality and sign off checks

Additional duties for the Lead role include:

• Lead a group of assembly operatives
• Teach and share knowledge with apprentices and other operatives
• Work with the production manager to achieve production targets
• Work with other members of the manufacturing/engineering team to improve processes and product.

Criteria:

• Previous similar experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment
• Ability to understand electrical schematic drawings
• An electrical qualification is highly desirable

Hourly rate is dependent upon on experience, overtime is paid at time and a half. Benefits include a generous leave allowance, pension and an early Friday finish!
