Design Engineer

Job Description

Based in Co Antrim our client is a busy manufacturing company looking to add an additional Design Engineer to their drawing office.

The successful Design Engineer will be involved in the production of drawings and specifications to customer requirements in a timely and cost effective manner and to relevant quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure drawings, specifications and technical requirements are prepared for Customers, Sales & Production as required
• Ensure legislative requirements are met and adhered to.
• Certify specifications received from the sales department
• Assist with costing of Products
• Development of New Products; Modify existing products for efficiency and cost reasons
• Management of Design Changes
• Maintain the production schedules
• Contribute to improving production techniques
• Liaise with and assist Production Managers to ensure Quality and On time Delivery of Product
• Assist stores personnel with material management issues and cost management
• Report on feedback and improvements through assessing customer concerns

Criteria:

• Qualified to degree level in Engineering or related with a minimum of 3-5 years experience of Solidworks
• Evidence of effective organisational, planning and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite

Salary is in the region of £50k depending upon experience.
