Cost Accountant

Our client based in Dungannon has enjoyed a sustained period of growth in the manufacturing sector. An opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious individual to join their Accounting team on a fixed term contract basis until December 2023.

Working as part of an enthusiastic Accounting Team, and closely with purchasing, you will develop and manage the preparation of product costings, liaising with relevant departments as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cost analysis, management accounts support, projects and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Cost control and analysis
• Forecasting
• Analysis of monthly management accounts
• Sales Analysis – Develop sales reporting
• Stock control/valuation
• Work closely with stores and purchasing departments
• Assist with the implementation of the ERP system and other projects
• Qualified or part qualified accountant, ideally with a background in manufacturing / engineering
• Cost management

Criteria:

• Qualified or part qualified accountant, ideally with a background in manufacturing / engineering
• Experience in Cost management
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Confident in the use of SAGE/Stock Systems

Salary is in the region of £40k, whilst this is a contract role it has the distinct possibility of becoming a permanent position.
