Job Description

Our manufacturing client has enjoyed a sustained period of growth and as a result an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager. This role will be based at their premises in South Down.

Reporting directly to the MD you will work closely with the Global Business Development Manager in identifying new markets, as well as researching and developing new and existing products and bringing these to market.

You will sit within the senior management team and input into the strategic long term business growth plan.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial manager to develop their career within an award winning local business.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate contracts and manage finances of projects
• Oversee product development and new product introduction
• Identify and develop business opportunities
• Put together bids to win new business and review operational process flows
• Conduct risk assessments, offering direction and instruction

Criteria:

• Previous relevant commercial experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment
• Good Microsoft Office skills – to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Commercially astute and ambitious
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills with a strong customer focus

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business who have gone from strength to strength, and who have continuing plans for development. Salary is in the region of £70k depending upon experience.
