Job Description

Based near Dungannon our client is a growing manufacturing business who now require an additional Buyer to join their Supply Chain department.

Applicants should have previous experience in managing and building long term relationships with suppliers from within a manufacturing / engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the most efficient and cost effective supply of products, goods and services ensuring quality and delivery lead times are adhered to.
• Negotiation with suppliers in terms of product quality, delivery and cost
• Explore new sources of supply to maintain competitive supply sources and reduce cost
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring key suppliers are meeting planned targets
• Ensure purchase system records are accurate and maintained

Criteria:

• Previous experience in a buying role within manufacturing
• Experience of negotiating contracts, managing suppliers and building relationships
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Strong negotiating skills
• Commercially aware with the ability to prioritise and organise
• Willing to undertake travel as required

Salary is up to £40k depending upon experience.
