Assembly Operative

Job Description

On behalf of our client, a manufacturing enterprise with its headquarters in Co Armagh, Energis is seeking applications for the positions of Assembly Operative.

Working as part of the existing assembly team, the successful candidates will fit component assemblies on production lines.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an experienced team with a focus on continuous improvement. These roles are permanent full time opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand work instructions, identify parts and complete assemblies as illustrated
• Up fit component assemblies on production lines to create complete machine
• Complete records on electronic data base
• Complete quality and sign off checks
• Work in an appropriate manner under instruction of direct supervisor
• Identify errors/faults and take appropriate steps to rectify them if necessary
• Use hand tools and power tools as required
• Ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times

Criteria:

• Previous similar experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment is highly desirable
• Ability to work under instruction from supervisor
• Motivated to complete tasks on time and to a high standard

Hourly rate is £11 – 11.50/hr, overtime is paid at time and a half. Benefits include a generous leave allowance, pension and an early Friday finish!
