Accounts Assistant

Job Description

Energis is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for our client, a successful group of companies based in Belfast.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy working environment to further their accounts experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales invoices and credit notes
• Remittances and monitoring/reconciling banks daily
• Maintaining customer pricing profiles in collaboration with Operations Managers
• Setting up, maintaining and updating customer accounts and handling all account queries
• Actively initiating the credit control procedure
• Statutory reports such as EC Sales, Intrastat and VAT
• Monthly intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations

Essential requirements:

• At least 2 years working in a similar role
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience working to and meeting deadlines
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications i.e., Word, Outlook and Excel

Desirable requirements:

• IATI qualification, part qualification or desire to achieve
• Experience working within a group environment
• Experience working with ERP systems

Salary is in the region of £25 – 30k + benefits to include healthcare and pension.
