Job Description

Based in Drogheda, our client is an innovative and forward thinking manufacturing company operating in the FMCG sector. They are now in the market for an experienced Quality Manager.

The role assumes primary responsibility for leadership of the Quality team to deliver consistent product safety and quality compliance, leading a culture of continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service across 2 manufacturing sites. The role:

• Manage the strategic and day to day operations of

oQuality Management System

oQuality & GMP Compliance

oCertification of product produced.

oComplaint handling with reporting from Consumer Service and customer service departments liaising with site Quality and operations.

oComplaint reduction and Continuous Improvement

oBusiness Process to align and drive efficiency cross functionally.

• Ensure products are produced consistently to meet product specifications.
• Work with Technical team to ensure the approval of specification and sku standards for Operations Team.
• Support Cross function team work specifically within Operations & Supply Chain to deliver Operational KPIs
• Support and develop excellent relationships with distributors, customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage all Non- Conformances and Corrective and Preventative Action Plans internally and with Customers and Suppliers.
• Responsible for testing of raw materials and finished goods, including managing on-site laboratory.
• Support Technical, Innovations and Engineering on new product or process from feasibility to launch.
• Ensure adequate skill mix within function, providing training and coaching for team members

Criteria:

• Relevant third level education in Quality/Technical/ Engineering /Business or similar
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience in a FMCG environment, including leading a team
• Proven track record in exceeding targets and objectives in a business with ambitious growth aspirations
• Ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, project team members and management leaders
• Experienced in making key tactical decisions with sound experience in strategic planning processes.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
• Experience in key functions of Compliance, handling Specifications and process management.

Salary is up to €75k + an excellent benefits package including bonus and pension.
