Our client is a well-established manufacturing organisation offering bespoke solutions to a diverse customer base across the engineering sector.

They are currently recruiting for a full-time Production Coordinator to effectively and efficiently lead a unit area in the production of their products in accordance with company standards and targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning for and managing the production of new products, including creating timelines and establishing method statement for all project works to be carried out
  • Accounting for health & safety, quality, environmental, technical and customer requirements
  • Ensuring all relevant persons are adequately briefed prior to manufacturing.
  • Achieve the highest quality standards to exceed customer expectations
  • Achieve the agreed production/efficiency targets e.g. adherence plan
  • Assist the Supervisor to ensure that all employees and workers are trained to the competency required
  • Ensure the maintenance of the production equipment is carried out to the agreed schedule.
  • Deputise for the Production Supervisor when required.
  • Actively drive continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Carry out interviews, factory tours, performance reviews, return to work interviews, disciplinaries


Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience of leading a team within a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Ability to comply with the Health & Safety system
  • Experience of adhering to high quality standards
  • Ability to drive the efficiency of a complete team, and to plan, organise and coordinate production Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Strong planning skills

Salary will be in the region of £36k, with benefits including pension and healthcare, performance related pay (PRP) will be offered to the successful candidate.
