Job Description

Our client operates in the FMCG sector and are now recruiting an experienced Procurement Manager to join their site in Co Monaghan.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the successful Procurement and Stock Control Manager will have accountability for spend across the group and responsibility for the company warehouse, supply management and stock takes. The role holder will work closely with key stakeholders to implement effective risk management strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the team to ensure that all sites have the correct product/service at the right time and the best price.
• Leads sourcing activities, overseeing all activities related to procurement of material, from intent to purchase through to delivery of the material
• In conjunction with business leads, develop, coordinate, and execute effective price risk management strategies
• Recruit and maintain suppliers to minimise cost of ownership, while upholding internal and external policies
• Develops and utilise a system to evaluate vendor quotations with the appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
• Tracks performance within each spend category and defines budgetary impact
• Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements
• Create KPI’s regarding Costs and Usage with a goal to improve efficiency

Criteria:

• Min 5 years experience in Procurement/Supply Chain (or related) within the Manufacturing Industry, ideally FMCG
• Strong price risk management skills
• Ideally a Degree/Diploma with an IIPMM qualification combined with relevant commercial experience or can demonstrate such expertise gained via career working experience
• Certificate in Purchasing Management is advantageous
• Full clean driving licence and valid passport
• Flexibility to travel routinely to other company locations
