Based in Co Monaghan our client is an innovative and forward thinking FMCG business. They now have a requirement for an experienced HR Business Partner to cover a period of maternity leave.

The successful HR Business Partner should have a good understanding of the many different responsibilities of HR, and in particular solid experience of the people function eg. Learning & Development, Employee Relations and Employment Law.

Responsibilities:

  • As HR business partner advise and provide HR advice and support to the management team across the business, building trusted relationships
  • As a member of the HR team, participate in the development of an integrated HR strategy that facilitates the development of the business. Responsible for coordinating the central HR plan.
  • Manage key projects to support the business (e.g. develop and roll out of the Employee Wellbeing Strategy, coordinate Employee Retention programmes, develop the Diversity & inclusion Strategy and Policy Development as required)
  • Support and advise managers on Employee Relations (i.e. re-organisations, disciplinaries, grievances, dealing with unions, tribunal/claims). Represent the company as required.Ensure the provision of up-to-date employment law advice and HR best practice.
  • Employee Development - Support managers with the development of their teams (individual and team level), performance management and internal training programmes.
  • Employee Engagement - Understand employee satisfaction levels and dynamics within the business and drive employee engagement and retention projects

Criteria:

  • Degree qualified, preferably in HR or a business related field, with a minimum of 5 years HR experience
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, its interpretation and implementation and of employment practices specific to Country compliance
  • Experience of working in partnership with the business to provide effective and innovative HR solutions.
  • Skilled at using effective listening, probing and investigatory skills to handle complex, escalated inquiries
  • Strong customer service orientation, proactive and solution focused with an ability to deal effectively with difficult interactions and tough issues.
  • Previous experience within food production, manufacturing or similar is highly advantageous
  • Ideally experienced in working across geographically dispersed business units.
  • Full clean driving licence and passport (whilst not immediately required due to Covid 19, travel may well be a part of the role in future as restrictions are lifted)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business who have gone from strength to strength, and who have continuing plans for development. Salary is in the region of €40 - 45k, and whilst a maternity cover role there may well be the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.
