Group Financial Accountant

Job Description

Our client is a busy engineering company with a global client base. They are now seeking a Group Financial Accountant with good technical knowledge and strong attention to detail to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to develop their career with well established who offer an excellent benefits package as well as an early finish on Fridays!

The role:

• Oversee financial processes to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cash management
• Lead in the production and timely submission of Management accounts and ensure servicing of internal stakeholders requirements
• Oversee junior members of the team and act as an example to train and push forward team performance
• Ensure a smooth and beneficial relationship with external auditors
• Business partner and analyse, influencing financial decisions at key points in the month end timeline

Criteria:

• Qualified Accountant or Equivalent Experience
• Demonstrated management accounts experience
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Previous experience of people management
• Good attention to detail
• A team player with great communication skills
• Chartered status is highly desirable

Salary on offer is in the region of £40-45k + bonus depending upon experience. There is also a generous benefits package including Health Cash Plan, Pension, Life Assurance.
