Designer / Draughtsman

Job Description

A leading manufacturer of products for the construction and related sectors, our client is a growing engineering business based in Co Antrim.

They are now seeking an additional Designer / Draughtsman to join their design team in the preparation of product and installation drawings. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the steel or related sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and research new and existing products to meet customer requirements
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with colleagues
• Liaise with clients and contractors regarding design aspects of each project.
• Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation including, drawings, bill of materials, design parameters for future reference.
• Maintain up to date documentation records

Criteria:

• Third level engineering / construction qualification is highly desirable
• Minimum 6 months previous experience of Solidworks in industry
• Strong analytical, decision making and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision and manage time

This is a great opportunity for a Designer / Draughtsman with previous Solidworks experience looking to broaden their skillset within a growing local business.

The role offers a salary in the region of £35k plus bonus depending on experience.
