Customs Broker

Job Description

Energis is currently recruiting for a Customs Broker to join our client based near Belfast. The ideal candidate will have previous customs experience, however applicants with transport admin, freight forwarding or logistics planning experience with a good eye for detail will also be considered.

Reporting into the Customs Manager you will be responsible for processing UK and EU customs declarations for Irish Sea RoRo. Full training will be given and once completed there will be the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Processing of UK and EU Customs Declarations for Irish Sea RoRo
• Expediting Customs Clearances while maintaining Customs Compliance
• Interaction with all Stakeholders
• Standing Data & records maintenance
• Ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the company

Criteria:

• Five GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office & Databases
• Capacity to learn new skills and take direction but work on your own initiative
• Good communicator with fluency in written and spoken English
• Willing to work on shift/rota

Desirable:

• Level 3 Customs qualification
• Previous experience of Traffic Management Systems and bespoke Customs computer software

This is rotating 5-week shift pattern Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Tues-Sat 8:00am-5:00pm
